Hi! I’m Gemma. I’m a mum, wife and flower farmer on our gorgeous six acre small holding in the Trevarno valley near Helston, Cornwall. Simply Six Acres has been created as a record of our journey on our farm, and the adventures of our family. We love to explore, whether that’s on our doorstep or further afield, and always try and learn something from our discoveries to incorporate back into our home.

We bought our farm back in 2017 when we joined forces with my mum to buy a property where we could all live. Back then the farm was overgrown and neglected. We’ve spent the past few years rejuvenating it and making it a place for both wildlife to thrive and a business to grow. We built an eco home (annexe) for my mum on the site of an old dairy, and renovated and extended the farmhouse. Our aim is to try to live a simpler and more sustainable life using many of the natural resourses our land has to offer.
