Our Farmhouse Renovations

Renovations to our farmhouse started in August 2019. Images will be added to this diary over the coming days and weeks.

We’re extending the farmhouse to create a family living space

August 2019

Before the foundations for the family room extension could begin, we needed to remove 90 plus tonnes of rock and earth from the terraced garden which rises up at the back of the house. This meant loosing about 3 meters of our garden.

The gabion baskets containing about 45 tonnes of rock are retaining the garden terrace wall

Wet weather has forced work to start on ripping out the inside of the farmhouse. Upstairs, the old plasterboard has come off before all the original stud walls are removed ready for a new internal layout.
The stairs are being moved into the extension to give us bigger bedrooms and bathroom
